Assassin’s Creed TV Show: All The Casting Announcements So Far

Published:

Netflix and Ubisoft are making an Assassin’s Creed TV series, and the cast is coming together ahead of the start of production in 2026.

So far, three stars for the Assassin’s Creed TV show have been confirmed, but as of yet, no roles have been announced. For now, here’s who we know will appear on the show:

  • Toby Wallace
  • Zachary Hart
  • Lola Petticrew

Wallace is known for his roles in the movies The Bikeriders and Babyteeth, while Hart is perhaps best known for the Apple TV show Slow Horses. Petticrew, meanwhile, starred on the TV series Say Nothing.

Filming for the untitled Assassin’s Creed show is expected to begin next year in Italy, which will also be a setting for the show. However, the time period for the series is unknown. The games jump throughout history and the modern day.

As announced previously, Roberto Patino (Westworld) and David Wiener (Halo) are the showrunners for the untitled Assassin’s Creed show. In 2023, the previous showrunner, Jeb Stuart, quit the show over a “difference in vision.”

Before this, 20th Century Fox produced 2016’s live-action Assassin’s Creed movie starring Michael Fassbender, and it made more than $240 million worldwide. It reportedly had a budget of $120 million.

In addition to this new live-action series, Netflix is producing an animated series based on Assassin’s Creed. Ubisoft is also developing a new Assassin’s Creed game for Netflix Games.

Another Ubisoft franchise, Far Cry, is getting a TV show as well–it was recently ordered to series for Hulu.

What’s happening with the Assassin’s Creed game series?

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is the newest entry in the series, having released back in March. Next up for the series could be a remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, reportedly called Resynced. There are multiple other new Assassin’s Creed games in the works, including the mobile game Assassin’s Creed Jade, the 16th century-set Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe, and a multiplayer game supposedly titled Assassin’s Creed Invictus.
