ASRock signs a partnership with Capcom to offer a collaborative graphics card with the publisher. Indeed, the brand has signed an RX 9070 XT Monster Hunter Wilds Edition. This new card, based on the design of the brand’s Steel Legend version… But it also comes with a skin based on the game.
RX 9070 XT Monster Hunter Wilds Edition: a limited edition card!
For the occasion, this new card swaps its pretty white dress for a more discreet dark and light blue color scheme. This model features a number of references to the title’s emblematic monster: Arkveld. If you look at the RGB zone on the edge of the card, you’ll see his name, while the backplate features his likeness.
In absolute terms, the board uses the same heatsink as the original Steel Legend version. The latter benefits from three fans blowing on two blocks of aluminum fins linked by copper heat pipes. The GPU and memory come into contact with a large nickel-plated copper base. Otherwise, to maximize the board’s rigidity, we’re treated to a lateral force bar, while the backplate also plays a role in the structure’s rigidity.
As for frequencies, we learn that the chip will operate at 2970 MHz in boost mode, while the in-game frequency is announced at 2400 MHz. As for memory, there’s no change, with 16 GB of GDDR6 running at 20 Gbps. Finally, in terms of connectivity, we have nothing out of the ordinary, with three DisplayPort 2.1a outputs coupled to an HDMI 2.1b. Power supply is via two 8-pin PCIe cards. Otherwise, this isn’t such an imposing card, measuring just 298 mm in length, with a thickness greater than two slots.
