RTX 5060 Ti performance

We’ve reviewed the ASUS Prime RTX 5060 Ti 16GB OC, which isn’t the same as the ASUS dual RTX 5060 Ti, as it isn’t overclocked, but it should provide a good insight regarding its real-world performance.

Gaming performance

To test its gaming performance, we paired it with the Ryzen 7 9800X3D and ran a handful of games at 1080p, 1440p, and 4K. Cyberpunk 2077 ran at 123 FPS at 1080p, 78 FPS at 1440p, and 34 FPS at 4K. AC Mirage was easier for this GPU to run, as it managed 121, 92, and 58 FPS in the same three resolutions.

Counter-Strike 2 also played with high FPS, as we got 249 FPS at FHD, 170 FPS at QHD, and 87 FPS at 4K. Overall, the RTX 5060 Ti can hold its own at 1080p and 1440p, but 4K native resolution isn’t the best fit for it. That being said, you can leverage DLSS 4 and MFG to boost the FPS, as when we turned on ray tracing with overdrive settings, the FPS dropped to 7, but with the upscaling technologies in place, it increased to 89 FPS.

Synthetic performance

To gauge the synthetic performance of the RTX 5060 Ti, we ran various applications, including HandBrake, Geekbench 6, Blender, 3DMark, and others.

In Fire Strike Ultra, Time Spy Extreme, and Port Royal, the 5060 Ti managed 9,526, 7,310, and 10,271 points, respectively. In Blender Monster, we achieved 2057.1 points. Regarding AI performance, the single-precision score was 23,753, the half-precision score was 44,545, and the quantized score was 18,260.

So, given the position of this GPU in the performance hierarchy, this level of performance is okay, but if you’re looking for more performance, you can check out the RX 9070 or the RX 9070 XT.

Who’s this deal for?

This deal is perfect for those who want to build a system primarily for gaming, as the RTX 5060 Ti has 16GB VRAM and can handle graphically demanding titles by leveraging DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation. The price drop also makes it appealing, as it should have more value for money; however, if you’ve got a little more to spend, we recommend you check out the RX 9070 XT as it has exceptional value and performance.
