Cooler Master’s RTX 5080 in photos!

Published:

At CES, Cooler Master was exhibiting heatsinks for graphics cards. These sober heatsinks looked particularly thick, as they could be used to mount 120mm case fans. It turns out that the casing even supports the thickest fans on the market, with support for 30mm models! A Chinese influencer (51972 on bilibili) was able to get his hands on this Cooler Master RTX 5080, and according to him, it’s got promise!

RTX 5080 Cooler Master: a big footprint!

It’s a good way to start the morning, looking at some beautiful graphics card. As you can see, the brand has opted for an all-metal shroud with a chrome rear panel. This should give the card a good strucural rigidity.

In terms of dimensions, this model is imposing, very imposing even, since its dimensions are very close to those of the ROG Astral version in terms of length and height. As for thickness, that will depend on the fans you install. In fact, it’s perfectly possible to fit standard 25mm-thick fans and 30mm-thick models. The influencer has even installed Phanteks T30s. This is made possible by a metal fairing that can be adjusted on several levels.

Now, buying the card is likely to be complicated. Indeed, this model seems to be intended for the brand’s future pre-assembled systems. Unit sales are not yet a given, but… Some fellows seem confident about this. The card itself is a monster, the design is neat and the card could as well incorporate some interesting features. On the edge alone, you can already see two fan sockets.

In short, when this card becomes available, there’s likely to be quite a few Cooler Master PCs for sale again… But without the graphics card 🙃
